WAITEVILLE, WV --- Leonard Gene Cole, age 76, of Waitville, WV passed away Monday, December 16, 2019 at CAMC Memorial, Charleston, WV. Born December 25, 1942 in Maryland, he was the son of the late Frank and Cecil Viet Cole. Leonard served his Country proudly as a Seal in the U.S. Navy. He was an avid hunter and fishermen. He also enjoyed boating and traveling.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Cole. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Katherine Cole of Waiteville, WV; two sons, Robert F. Cole and Kenny Cole both of Maryland; one brother, Billy William Cole of Maryland; two nieces, Rhena Cole and Kitty Cole of Maryland; and two nephews, Frank Cole and Keith Cole of Maryland.
In keeping with Leonard's wishes, he will be cremated. A memorial service to honor his life will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 27, 2019 at the St. John, The Evangelist, Catholic Chapel at Sweet Springs, WV, with Father James Conyers officiating.
