Obituary

SINKS GROVE, WV – Lealon (Lee) Clyde Spence, Jr., 83, of Sinks Grove passed away on August 11, 2024, at the Seneca Trail Healthcare Center. He was the son of the late Lealon Clyde Spence, Sr. and Anna McClung Spence of Alderson, WV.

Lee graduated from Alderson High School.  He served in the Army and was stationed at Karlsruhe Germany. He retired from the WV Department of Highways and then served as a golf starter at The Greenbrier.

He was a member of the Union Memorial Baptist Church where he had been a Trustee, Sunday School Superintendent, Sunday School teacher, and sang in the choir.

He enjoyed going to his camp in Pocahontas County to hunt with his family and the Ward Miller family.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles, Herman, and Ray Spence.

Survivors are his wife Carol Spence, daughter Cindi Napier and husband Kevin, and grandsons Brett Andrew Napier and Seth Alan Napier of White Sulphur Springs, WV.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the Union Memorial Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Shafer officiating. Burial will follow at Rosewood Cemetery in Lewisburg, WV. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until time of service on Wednesday at the Church.
