CLIFTON FORGE, VA --- Leah Bernice Smith Simmons, age 53, of Clifton Forge, VA passed away Friday, October 4, 2019 at her residence. Born August 31, 1966 in Elkton, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Bernard E. "Buddy" Caldwell and Gaye Ferguson Faudree. Leah was a graduate of Covington High School and had worked in the Home Health Care Industry. She loved wolves and was an avid collector of wolf figurines.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one brother, Johnny Ray Caldwell. Survivors include her two sons, Andrew Smith of Hazleton, PA and Dickey Jr. of Covington, VA; companion, Charles Broughman of Clifton Forge, VA; one brother, William Caldwell of Covington, VA; three sisters, Leressa Bostic and husband Bobby of Union, WV, Loura Wolfe and husband Kenny of Covington, VA, and Bonnie Ward and companion J.R. Roberts of Covington, VA; step-father, Marvin Faudree of Covington, VA; step-brother, Jeff Faudree of New Market, VA; two step-sisters, Lisa Arbogast and husband John of Grottoes, VA, and Shelly Faudree of Lewisburg, WV; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 7, 2019 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Pastor George Clarkson officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Pleasant Church Cemetery at Sinks Grove, WV. Friends may call Monday, October 7, 2019 from 12:00 Noon until time of services at the funeral home.
