BLUEFIELD, WV --- Larry Gene Weikle, age 71, of Bluefield, WV passed away peacefully Sunday, September 26, 2021 at Princeton Community Hospital in Princeton, WV. Born August 12, 1950 at Ronceverte Hospital in Ronceverte, WV, he was the son of the late Thomas and Eileen Weikle. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Ronald and stepmother, Carol Weikle. Larry was a survivor of polio when he was a small child. He  graduated from Union High School in 1969. Larry was a retired farmer and he enjoyed putting up hay, growing crops, and taking care of his cattle and sheep. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, going camping with his friends, cousins, and his dog, Blue. He was a good photographer and artist, respected wildlife and nature.

Larry is survived by two sisters, Peggy Weikle of Lewisburg, WV, and Sandra Arbaugh (Larry) of Fishersville, VA; one niece, Mandy Yim (Arnold) of Roanoke, VA; one nephew, Joel Arbaugh (Felicia) and their two children, Liam and Landon Arbaugh of Waynesboro, VA; and the residents and employees of the Maples in Bluefield, WV who loved him and treated him like family.

In keeping with Larry's wishes, he will be cremated, and his ashes will be spread at the beloved farm where he grew up.
