Larry David Elmore, age 67, of Caldwell, WV passed away Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Second Creek, WV.
Born September 14, 1946 at Second Creek he was the son of the late Theodore Roosevelt and Edna Pearl Wimmer Elmore.
Mr. Elmore was a lifelong farmer and a member of the Second Creek Pentecostal Holiness Church where he served as a Trustee and Church Secretary and Treasurer.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Mae Elmore; one sister, Helen Taylor; two brother-in-laws, Ricky Cook and Avery Lephew; mother-in-law, Louella Faye Lephew; father-in-law, Elba Lephew; and a niece, Amy Elmore.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Louise Elmore of Caldwell, WV; One son, David William Elmore and wife Tina Marie of Lewisburg, WV; one daughter, Angelina Jones and husband Brad of Sinks Grove, WV; two grandchildren, Cheyenne and Tristen Jones of Sinks Grove, WV; Three brothers, Charles Benny Elmore and wife Shirley of Ronceverte, WV, Donald Elmore and wife Ruth of Pickaway, WV, Dale Elmore and wife Bonnie of Sinks Grove, WV; three sisters, Isabelle Cook of Richmond, VA, Naomi Painter of Richmond, VA, and Rachel Carter and husband Michael of Fort Springs, WV; six brother-in-laws, Elba J. Lephew of Ronceverte, WV, Charles Lephew and wife Sandy of Ronceverte, WV, Richard W. Lephew and wife Ruth of Sinks Grove, WV, and Thomas E. Lephew and wife Lois of Sinks Grove, WV, Lawrence Taylor of Second Creek, WV and Joseph W. Adwell of Caldwell, WV; two sister-in-laws, Betty J. Burns and husband Alfred of Alderson, WV and Linda Elmore and husband Kenny of Sinks Grove, WV; and several Nieces, Nephews, and Cousins.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Rev. Don Trent officiating. Burial will follow in New Lebanon Cemetery at Pickaway, WV. Friends may call at the funeral home Friday, June 20, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Greg Persinger, Robert Elmore, Jason Thomas, Patrick Thomas, Aaron Carter, and Keith Boggs will serve as Pallbearers.
