GREENVILLE, WV – Larry Claude Church, age 79, passed away on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at the Peyton Hospice House in Lewisburg, WV. Born August 4, 1946, in Kimball, WV, he was the son of the late Claude Ellis and Della Lane Church. Larry was a U.S. Navy Veteran having served from 1964 to 1968 aboard the USS Plymouth Rock, where he was a cook and later a baker on the ship. Larry used to hitchhike from Norfolk, VA, to his home in Ohio while he was serving in the Navy. Larry was a master upholsterer, having trained in Perrysburg, OH, and later worked at Carol's Upholstery in Narrows, VA. Later, he became a local handyman in the Greenville area. He touched a lot of lives and will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Irene and Dottie; and three brothers, Ken, Melvin, and infant James. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Staci, Travis, Miles, and Joshua; brothers, Ted (Rosa) and Dave (Joan); and sister, Midge (Ron); and several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
