Obituary

Kenneth G. Rhoades, age 74, of Pickaway, also known as Kenny, Pappy, and Unkie, passed away on Monday, August 3, 2026, at CAMC in Charleston. Born Oct 2, 1951, he was a son of the late Thurman Washington and Laura Bell Rhoades.

In addition to his parents, he was proceeded by four sisters, Nadine Grogg, Annie Grogg, Betty Yoder, and Nancy Jewell Pfeiffer; four bothers, Benny, Danny, Gleanord, and Thurman “Eddie” Rhoades; and his ex wife, Janet Rhoades. He was the last surviving sibling in a family of thirteen.

He loved working on vehicles, traveling from place to place, and fishing. He was a man of many adventures and stories to tell. He was kind, and would help anyone.

Survivors include a son, Timothy Kenneth Rhoades, of Michigan; two nieces, Laura Jewell Blankenship and husband, Jimmy, of Union, and Tracy Savage, of Pennsylviania; daughter, Angie Blankenship and husband, Gabe; grandchildren, Tim Gregory and family, Andrew and Travis Blankenship and families, and Deanna Kings and family; many other nieces and nephews; his beloved dog Crackers and his cat, Kitty; special and close friends Dan and Maria Lively, of Pickaway; Anna Blankenship, who was like a granddaughter to Pappy and a caregiver to Cracker; and many great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, and extended family members.

As per his wishes, he will be cremated. No services are planned. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Groves Mann Funeral Home, to help with final expenses.
