SALEM, VA --- Karen Lea Scott age 56 of Salem Virginia left this life on December 6, 2022. She is the daughter of Kathy Smith Schmidt and David Schmidt of Union, West Virginia.
In addition to her parents, she leaves behind siblings Kim (Winford) Eldridge, Kay (Mark) Clatts, Keith Scott and Scottie Scott; nieces and nephews Allie, Angel, Ashley, Brandon (Ashley), Elizabeth, Katie, Rob and Sam; great nieces and nephews Isaiah P., Isaiah S., Brenden and Ryleigh; step-sisters and families Lori (Larry), Emma, Anna Picicco, Amy (Paul), Leo, Luca Milcetich and Holly (Greg), Philomena, Frances Mostardi; lifelong friend and "besti" Michelle Dalton; her special companion Zettie "The Princess" cat; and many friends and family.
Karen is remembered for her big, wonderful personality. Her sense of humor kept everyone laughing and her beautiful singing could leave you crying with joy. She was a very spiritual person who believed in God with all her heart. There is no doubt that she has left her broken body to go home to her Lord and is now dancing and singing with the angels.
Due to illness in the family the public visitation has been canceled. In keeping with Karens's wishes, she will be cremated, and her cremains will be buried at the Jent Mountain Cemetery in Blackey, KY at a later date.
