UNION, WV --- June Humphreys Nichols, age 95, of Union, WV, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 at her residence. Born April 9, 1925 in Union, WV, she was the daughter of the late William "Willie" and Nancy Woosely Humphreys. June was a graduate of Union High School and following her graduation, she worked for the Department of Agriculture as the office manager of the local Monroe County Farm Bureau office in Union, WV. She loved her job and helping out people of Monroe County, of which she was proud to be a citizen of. She received an honorarium award for her outstanding dedication and work she had done for the Department of Agriculture and helped make Monroe County one of the highest agriculture programs in the Nation. June also enjoyed her pretty flowers and working in her flower beds. She loved her family and friends and would always entertain folks and host gatherings at her home. She also loved the Lord and was a member of the Union United Methodist Church in Union, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Kyle R. Nichols, and her little dog, Beau. Survivors include her son, David Nichols and wife Kelli of Hollywood, WV; several cousins and special friends; and her loving dog, Reecee.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2021 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV, with Rev. Kelly Martin officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery in Union, WV. The family will receive friends Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 12:00 Noon until time of the service at the funeral home.
