GAP MILLS, WV---John "Johnny" Robert McCullough, Sr., age 74, of Gap Mills, WV passed away Monday, November 17, 2014 at his residence following a long illness. Born January 28, 1940 at Gap Mills, WV he was the son of the late Lacy and Elsie Crowder McCullough. Mr. McCullough was a retired mechanic from a cardboard box manufacturer in Baltimore, MD. He loved working on cars, four-wheeling, wildlife, and country living.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one sister, Sara King.
Survivors include his wife Cheryl Piercy McCullough of Gap Mills, WV; one daughter, Arlene Brenda McCullough of Baltimore, MD; two sons, John R. McCullough, Jr. and David Michael McCullough both of Baltimore, MD; five brothers, Leon, James "Horse", Herman, Pete, and George McCullough all of Gap Mills, WV; two sisters, Janet Truelove and Gertrude McCullough both of Gap Mills, WV; five grandchildren, Alysia Squires, Amaya McCullough, John McCullough III, David and Christian McCullough.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2014 at the Groves Funeral Chapel in Union, WV, with Rev. Robert Wiseman officiating. Burial will follow in Wickline Cemetery at Gap Mills, WV.
