WAITEVILLE, WV --- Jennifer "Ginger" Naylor Cox age 52, "As long as there is someone in the sky to protect me, there is no one on Earth who can harm me". Ginger Cox formerly of Mullins, WV went home to that mansion in the sky on January 9, 2015 at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea, WV. She fought endlessly to win her battle with cancer but at least now she is free of sickness and pain. By now she is enjoying being reunited with her parents Alfred "Doc" and Helen E. Naylor. Her brother, Jimmy Naylor and two very dear friends, Felicia Marcum and Sandra "Sissy" Ellis, whom all Preceded her in death.
She was blessed with a large family to always love and cherish her life with us. She has just one daughter, Amanda Cox Blankenship who was also her very best friend. Three grandsons, Dacoda Honaker and Daltin and Dallas Aurentz. Other family members include her hero and sister, Sheila Brooks and husband Robert of Sheila's Country Style Cooking, sister, Etta Daniels and husband Sonny Sr. of Cedar Grove, WV; two brothers, Richard Naylor of Clearwater, FL and Gary Naylor of Cedar Grove, WV; half-sister, Brenda Griffin also of Cedar Grove, WV; Ginger had many nieces and nephews and great- nieces and nephews to love her forever. Many people held a special place in her heart but the ones who stick out the most are Sandra "Sandy" Cumby Shrewsbury and her companion of many years Arnold "Red" Linkous. Joseph "J.C." Shires was like a long lost brother to her, loving him always. Last but not least, the man who gave her his heart and made sure she knew that every day, Derek Aurthur. Mom, we love you and we'll see you again someday!
A gathering and celebration of Ginger's life will be held 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 24, 2015 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV.
