GAP MILLS, WV --- Jeanne Carol Keeney, of Gap Mills, WV, went into the loving arms of God the Father on Sunday, October 14, 2018 at 69 years of age. Jeanne was born October 10, 1949 at Greenbrier Valley Hospital, Ronceverte, WV. She graduated valedictorian at Gap Mills High School in 1967. She is a graduate of Concord College, with a Bachelor of Arts in Education, and a graduate of West Virginia University, with a Masters Degree in Communications. Jeanne was a member of Carmel Community Church, a church that her father originally helped design and build. Jeanne taught school in Greenbrier and Fayette Counties, and retired after 35 years.
Jeanne was preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Ruth McMann of Gap Mills, WV. She is survived by her loving husband of 47 years, William H. Keeney, Jr; one sister, Charlotte Newman; daughter, Carolyn and her husband Mike Toney of Knoxville, TN; daughter, Michelle and her husband Robert Martin of Princeton, WV; four grandchildren, Lily and Dylan Toney, Emma and Eli Martin; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Graveside services will be held 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at the Carmel Cemetery, Gap Mills, WV, with William Beiler officiating.
