UNION, WV --- Janice Lee Carter, age 79, of Union, WV, passed away Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea, WV. Born April 10, 1941 at Rock Camp, WV, she was the daughter of the late Basil and Velma Martin Wilson. Janice was retired from the B.F. Goodrich Plant in Pickaway, WV. She enjoyed cooking and baking for her family. Everyone loved her homemade apple pies. She was an avid gardener and loved tending to her flowers. Janice was a faithful WVU Basketball fan. She always enjoyed seeing her Mountaineers play. She loved her church family and was a member of the Union Memorial Baptist Church in Union, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her two brothers, Jim and Bob Wilson. Survivors include her loving husband, Wayne Carter of Union, WV; one son, Tim Carter and wife Patty of Matthews, NC; two grandchildren, Ashley Duemmler and husband Kai of Raleigh, NC, and Morgan Carter of Matthews, NC; and several nephews and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 9, 2021 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Pastor Mark Shafer officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Union, WV. The Family will receive friends Tuesday, February 9, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service. Matt Jewel, Eddie Dixon, Roger Dixon, Mike Heffner, Kyle Largen, and Kai Duemmler will serve as Pallbearers.
