UNION, WV --- James Weldon Walters, age 65, of Union, WV, passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte, WV. Born September 22, 1953 in Mercer County, WV, he was the son of the late Roscoe and Virtie Cardwell Walters. James was employed at the B.F. Goodrich/ UTC Aerospace Plant at Pickaway, WV. He loved his family and he also enjoyed being outdoors, going fishing, and working with his tractors. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife, Thelma Walters and one son, Ivan Brown. Survivors include his wife Gladys Walters of Union, WV; two daughters, Melinda Dunbar and husband Josh of Lindside, WV and Anna Weikle and husband Richard of Lindside, WV; two step-daughters, Anna Taylor and husband Paul of Cartwright, Oklahoma and Sally Sims and husband Bill of Raysal, WV; three brothers, Allen Walters and wife Katie of Union, WV, Charlie Walters of Union, WV, and Randy Walters of Gap Mills, WV; one sister, Mamie Cole and husband David of Turkey Creek, WV; three grandchildren, Ivan, Andrew, and Brittany; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive. Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, December 2, 2018 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Rev. Terry Utterback officiating. Burial will follow in Carmel Cemetery at Gap Mills, WV. Friends may call Sunday, December 2, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
