ROCK CAMP, WV --- James Arthur "Sug" Trent, age 87, of Rock Camp, WV, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2018 at the Springfield Center at Lindside, WV. Born September 5, 1931 at Gilbert, WV, he was the son of the late Cecil Howard and Ruby Frye Trent. Sug, was a well-known business man and respected farmer. He never met a stranger and was a friend to many. In 1958 Sug established and built his own company, "Central Hydraulic Service". The Company just celebrated their 60th anniversary this past August 2018. Sug loved his family dearly and cherished every moment he spent with them. He was an avid hunter and enjoyed being in the great outdoors. He also loved his Church Family where he attended at Crimson Springs Church at Zenith, WV.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by one son, Fred Trent; four sisters, Anna Mae Trent, Bennetta Harmon, Evelyn Adkins, and Mary Ruth Browning; two brothers, Richard and Robert Trent. Survivors include his loving wife, Pat Forren Trent of Rock Camp, WV; two sons, Jon Trent and wife Kim of Logan and Doug Trent of Logan; one brother, Larry Paul Trent of Illinois; one sister, Sue Maynard Baldwin and husband Ed of Logan, WV; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins who loved and will miss him dearly, also survive.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 17, 2018 at the Crimson Springs Church at Zenith, WV with Pastor Jim Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery at Zenith, WV. Friends may call Sunday, December 16, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home at Union, WV. Homer Forren, Jim Forren, Chase Trent, Jeffery Scott Trent, Danny Lucas, Joe Lucas, Junior Bradley, Elmer Galford, and James Clarkson will serve as Pallbearers.
