UNION, WV --- James Dale Plumley, age 85, passed away Thursday, August 18, 2022 at Stonerise – Lindside in Lindside, WV. He was born April 27, 1937 in Blue Jay, WV and was the son of the late Marshall and Texie Lilly Plumley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Glen Plumley and Phillip Plumley, and his sister, Edythe Berlekamp.

He graduated from Alderson High School and went on to serve his country in the U.S. Army. While in the Army, he served with the Military Police. Following his military duty, he served a career in law enforcement up until his retirement as a Captain from the D.C. Government. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Mary Vass Plumley; one son, Kenneth Plumley and wife Jackie; and one daughter, Cynthia LaRoche and husband James.
