UNION, WV---James Franklin Mohler, age 69, of Union, WV passed away Friday, August 22, 2014 at his residence following a short illness. Born September 6, 1944 at Salt Sulphur, WV he was the son of the late William D. and Mary Bare Mohler. Mr. Mohler was a retired school bus driver for Monroe County Schools. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a son Michael Andrew Mohler on August 2, 2014.
Survivors include his wife Sharon Lashmit Mohler of Union, WV; two sons, Greg Mohler and companion Sherry Sparks of Salt Sulphur, WV, Rick Parsons and wife Trish of Enterprise, Alabama; two daughters, Lorie Butts and husband Larry of Hedgesville, WV, Bonnie Shirley and husband Kevin of Bunker Hill, WV; two brothers, William E. Mohler and wife Edna of Salt Sulphur, WV, Oswald Mohler and wife Reta of Peterstown, WV; two sisters, Bonnie Morgan and husband Kermit of Organ Cave, WV, Betty Morgan and husband Mark of Ronceverte, WV; father-in-law, Marshall Sullivan, Jr of LaPlate, MD.; nine grandchildren, Jennifer Butts, Kristen LeMaster, Mark Shirley, Samantha Witt, Austin Parsons, Nevaeh Cook, Leland Miller, Wayne Mohler, Lola Mohler; five great-grandchildren, Naomi LeMaster, Brielle LeMaster, Grace Witt, Conner Shirley, and Luke Shirley; numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and family.
A Celebration of Frank's life will be held Thursday, August 28, 2014 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV, following the conclusion of the visitation with Charlie Anderson officiating and music by Joey Morgan. Friends may call Thursday, August 28, 2014 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
