GAP MILLS, WV --- James Lacy "Hoss" McCullough, age 70, of Gap Mills, WV, passed away Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at Hillsdale, WV following injuries sustained in a farming accident . Born September 10, 1945 he was the son of the late Lacy and Elsie Crowder McCullough. Hoss or Horse as he was known to many in the community, was retired from the B.F. Goodrich Plant in Union. Hoss never had children of his own, but found his happiness in supporting the children of the community. He was this community's number one fan and seldom missed a ballgame. He really enjoyed and cared for everyone he crossed paths with. He will always be remembered for his generosity and kind heart.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two sisters, Gertie McCullough and Sara King; one brother, Johnny McCullough and a niece, Audine Sizemore. Survivors include, four brothers, George, Herman, Claude, and Leon and wife Linda all of Gap Mills, WV; one sister, Janet Truelove of Gap Mills, WV; seven nephews, Randy McCullough of Gap Mills, WV, Mark McCullough of Gap Mills, WV, John McCullough, Jr. of Maryland, David McCullough of Maryland, Dustin Hersman of Hollywood, WV, Danny King of Dorr, WV and Billy King of Organ Cave, WV; six nieces, Alice Hersman of Hollywood, WV, Arlene McCullough of Maryland, Dreama Hoke of Pickaway, WV, Annette Bobbitt, Sharon Shaver both of Dorr, WV and Hillary Hersman of Hollywood, WV; and several great nieces, great nephews, and cousins also survive.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2015 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Pastor Jimmy Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Wickline Cemetery at Gap Mills, WV. Friends may call Saturday, November 28, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
