UNION, WV --- Jack Marshall Neel, age 86, of Union, WV, passed away Saturday, April 4, 2020 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital in Roanoke, VA. Born on January 29, 1934 in Sweet Springs, WV to Marshall A. and Wanda Wickline Neel. Jack was a lifelong member of Carmel Presbyterian Church in Gap Mills, WV. His greatest enjoyment in life was sharing time with his children, grandchildren, great-granddaughter, and extended family. After retiring from the Hercules Corporation in Covington, VA, he, along with his son Marshall and grandson Adam, started Big Bubbles Car Wash and Neel Auto Sales at Pickaway. Jack is survived by his wife Shirley Crosier Neel, daughter Debra Ann Geiss and husband Art of Greensboro, NC; son, Marshall Lewis Neel and wife Deborah of Union; daughter, Jean Crosier Neel of Noblesville, Indiana; one sister, Ellen "Peg" Neel Hanchey of Belem, NM; three grandsons, Adam Marshal Neel and wife Leah of Union, WV, Mitchell Eugene Grant Neel Geiss of Greensboro, NC; and one great-granddaughter, Gemma Paige Neel. Per Jack's request, he will be cremated and a private family memorial service will be held at a later time in celebration of his life.
