UNION, WV --- Iva June Thompson Riffle, age 54, of Union, WV passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at her home following a sudden illness. Born August 4, 1960 at Pearisburg, VA, she was the daughter of the late Evelyn Amos and step-father, Henry Turner. June was a loving and caring homemaker. She also enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers.
In addition to her mother and step-father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Amos; and one granddaughter, Kayleigh Wade. Survivors include her husband, Timothy Ray Riffle of Union, WV; three daughters, Amber Thompson and Companion Drew Wade of Union, WV, Elizabeth Thompson of Union, WV, and Hannah Thompson and Companion Brandon Workman of Union, WV; one brother, Gary Amos and wife Marilyn of Lindside, WV; four sisters, Donna White of Ballard, Brownie Hodges and husband Bobby of Ballard, WV, Frostie Heath and husband Johnny of Bozoo, WV, and Rosa Christensen and husband Larry of Lindside, WV; mother-in-law, Pearl Honaker of White Sulphur Springs, WV; four grandchildren, Carys Gwinn, Kaleb Wade, Easton Workman, and Liam Lopez.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 29, 2015 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Rev. Joe Spencer officiating. Burial will follow in Fortner Cemetery at Rock Camp, WV. Friends may call Monday, June 29, 2015 from 12:00 noon until time of services.
