GAP MILLS, WV – Homer Keith Wickline, age 80, of Gap Mills, WV passed away Friday, May 22, 2015 at Lewis Gale Hospital, Salem, VA following a short illness. Born August 13, 1934 at Sweet Springs, WV he was the son of the late Vincent O. and Mary Huffman Wickline. Mr. Wickline was a retired Hercules employee. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and a member of the Cokesbury United Methodist Church at Sweet Springs, WV and the Sweet Springs Rescue Squad.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers, Elden, Huett, and Joe; and five sisters, Reva, Zita, Leona, Wilhemina, and Hope.
Survivors include, one daughter, Rhonda Sue Wickline of Clifton Forge, VA; two brothers, Gillette Wickline of Pearisburg, VA and Harold Wickline of Charlottesville, VA; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Rev. Mark Smearman and Rev. Marva Smearman officiating. Burial will follow in Wickline Cemetery at Gap Mills, WV where the WV Honor Guard will conduct Military Graveside Rites. Friends may call Wednesday, May 27, 2015 from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
