CASTLEWOOD, VA --- Helen Charlene Sears Romine, age 66 of Castlewood, VA went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Russell County Medical Center in Lebanon, VA. Born August 2, 1951 in Union, WV, she was the daughter of Anna Mae (Dowdy) Sears and the late James Garfield Sears. Mrs. Romine enjoyed sewing, putting together puzzles, and making crafts. Often, she would set around the table with friends and pray. She loved reading her Family Bible and listening to Rev. Billy Graham as much as she could. She was a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church at Union, WV. Mrs. Romine was also known for her delicious peanut butter fudge.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth R. "Johnny" Romine; three brothers, James "Junie" Sears, Jr., Ronnie Sears, and Billy Richard Sears; one sister, Debbie Hylton; one nephew, Josh Hylton.
In addition to her Mother, she is survived by three sisters, Linda Bostic and husband Roger of Lewisburg, WV, Darlene Gee and husband Jim of Pulaski, VA, and Ann Huffman of Princeton, WV.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Pastor Ron Miller officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery Union, WV. Friends may call Wednesday, March 14, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
