On November 18, 2025, Harold "Gene" Jackson, age 93, passed away to his heavenly home to be with Jesus and his many friends and loved ones whom he was anxious to be with, especially his mother and dear friends, Walter and Evelyn Deskins.

Born June 10, 1932, in Union, WV, he was the son of the late Kramer and Karrie Dotson Jackson. Gene was a member of Mt. Prospect Baptist Church. He loved his church family and his own family dearly. He was a U.S. Army Veteran and later retired from BF Goodrich. His main goal in life was to give out gospel tracts and to see souls saved. Recently, Gene could only eat pureed food, which he did not like. However, now he can eat bountifully in Heaven. Praise God!

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two brothers, Jack and Don Jackson; and sister, Judith Wilson.

Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Revie Dowdy Jackson, whom he was very close to; two sons, Jamie Jackson and wife Jennifer of Ronceverte, WV, and Kevin Jackson and wife Tanua of White Sulphur Springs, WV; one daughter, Tina Hoke and husband Daniel; one grandson, Tony "TJ" Jackson; and several step grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00PM on Tuesday, November 25, 2025, at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV, with Pastor Todd Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Keenan, WV. Visitation will be held from 1:00PM until time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home.
