Guy O'Dell Dunbar, 80 of Union, WV passed away Thursday afternoon, July 31, 2014 at Union.

He was born at Pearisburg, Va., December 21, 1933 a son of the late Ira Anderson and Geraldine Caldwell Dunbar.

Mr. Dunbar was a heavy equipment mechanic and a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church at Gates.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debra Ann Dunbar Crawford; 2 sisters, Dorothy J. Bennett and Opal Dunbar.

Surviving are a son, Darrell O'Dell Dunbar of Burlington, NJ; 2 daughters, Patricia Marie Hughes and husband, Charles of Pittsburgh, PA. and Phyllis Jean Dunbar of Union; 2 brothers, Sammy L. Dunbar and wife, Norma of Union and Bobby G. Dunbar and wife, Mary of Union; 4 grandchildren, Lacey Lynn Nilges, Michael Wayne Hefner, Thomas Emanuel Crawford and Charles Frederick Hughes, III; 3 great grandchildren, Wayne Delefield Mohler, Lola Ann Mohler and Katelyn Jade Nigles.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm. Sunday, August 3, 2014 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union with the Pastor Larry Dunbar officiating.

Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery at Gates, WV.

Friends may call at the Groves Funeral Home in Union from 6 - 8 pm Saturday.
