Mrs. Grace L. Wickline of Union, WV, and more recently a resident at The Seasons in Lewisburg, passed away on Thursday, July 14, 2016.
Born August 2, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Asa R. and Ethel Tomlinson Linton.
Mrs. Wickline was a graduate of Union High School and attended the Charleston School of Commerce. She was employed by the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS) for 12 years and retired from the Monroe County Government, having worked in both the County and Circuit Clerks Offices.
She was married to Rolla H. Wickline on April 22, 1943. He preceded her in death on March 27, 1997. Three sisters and two brothers-in-law also preceded her in death: Mrs. Edith McClung, Ms. Ruth Linton, Mrs. Sibyl Ball, Mr. Fred Ball and Mr. Marvin Bowyer.
Mrs. Wickline was an active member of the Union Presbyterian Church and was a life member of the Women of the Church organization. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star, Chapter #122 since 1947. Prior to moving to Lewisburg, she was an active member of Monroe County Chapter #1175 of AARP and the Senior Friends of Greenbrier Medical Center.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Don Lewis; her granddaughter, Karen Lewis; grandson, Todd Lewis, his partner, Melissa Groff and their children Michael Groff, Makenzie Groff and Greyson Lewis; a sister, Minnie Bowyer; three nephews, Gary Bowyer, Grady Bowyer and David Bowyer and their wives.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2016 at the Union Presbyterian Church with Ms. Nancy Bulla officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Keenan. Friends may call at the Union Presbyterian Church from 9:30 a.m. until service time. The family requests memorial donations be made to The Union Rescue Squad, P.O.
