COVINGTON, VA. --- Gaye Colene Ferguson Faudree, age 74, of Covington, Va. passed away Thursday, September 22, 2016 at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea following a sudden illness.
Born August 29, 1942 a daughter of the late Elmer and Leah Freda Deskins Ferguson.
Mrs. Faudree was a homemaker, a member of the Red Hatters, the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 1033, the Ladies Auxiliary Moose Lodge No. 610 at Covington, Va. and she was affiliated with the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Johnnie Ferguson Caldwell and a brother, Dale Ferguson.
Surviving are her husband, Marvin Eugene Faudree of Covington, Va.; 6 children, Leressa Bostic and husband, Bobby of Union, Bonnitta Ward and campanion, Jimmy Roberts, Loura Wolfe and husband, Kenny, Willie Caldwell all of Covington, Va., Leah Simmons and companion, Charles Broughman of Clifton Forge, Va., Crystal Ward of Covington, Va. 3 Step Children, Lisa Dawn Arbogast and husband, John of Grottoes, Va., Jeff Faudree and wife, Tanga of New Market, Va., and Shelly Faudree of Lewisburg, WV; a brother, Donald Ferguson and wife, Glenda of Buffalo Grove, Ill., 2 sisters, Gethyl Huffman and husband, Carlos of Wayside, WV and Judy Hopcroft of Hardy, VA. 13 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren also survive.
Memorial services will be held 6:00 p.m. Sunday, September 25. 2016 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union with Rev. George Clarkson officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 - 6 pm. Sunday, September 25, 2016.
