Obituary

SECOND CREEK, WV --- Gary Dale Hoke Sr., age 69, of Second Creek, WV passed away peacefully, Wednesday, June 20, 2018 at his home. Born December 26, 1948 at Ronceverte, WV, he was the son of the late Henry Ott and Lura Reed Hoke.
Gary graduated from Union High School in 1967 and went onto complete his technical drafting and design training in Charleston, WV. He worked in the Engineering Department at ABB in Lewisburg, WV for 32 years. Gary enjoyed managing his farm and Moncove Campground.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 48 years, Barbara Mays Hoke, son, Gary Dale Hoke Jr. and wife Angela and granddaughter Ashley of Raleigh, NC, two sisters Dianne and Dixie, sister-in-law Janet Wolverton and husband Ron of Grottoes, VA, sister-in-law Angela Cline and husband Jerry of Harrisonburg, VA, two nieces April and Tabitha, and one nephew Jeff.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Monday, June 25, 2018 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Rev. Don Trent officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery at Second Creek, WV. Family will serve as Pallbearers. Friends may call Sunday, June 24, 2018 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Muscular Dystrophy Association at www.mda.org.
