UNION, WV --- Gary Eugene Eklund, age 70, of Union, WV passed away Thursday, August 6, 2020 at the Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea, WV. Born June 6, 1950 he was the son of the late Arvid and Margaret Conmy Eklund. Gary was a retired truck driver and had also worked at Westvaco. Gary had many friends and he loved his neighbors dearly. They all looked out and helped each other anyway they possibly could. He enjoyed tinkering in his garage and he also loved watching his hummingbirds fly in for a visit.

Survivors include, three sons, Shawn Eklund and wife Racheal of Woodbridge, VA, Edward Eklund of Holiday, FL, and Christopher Eklund and wife Jackie of Palm Harbor, FL; five grandchildren, Kaydence Eklund, Caleb Eklund, Riley Eklund, Noah Eklund, and Harlan Eklund; several special neighbors and friends, Ruth McCarty Smith, Pat and Norm Normandin, John Long, Willie and Arlene Matney, Mark and Lori Taylor, Jessica Neel, Patricia Shaver, and Myles Yates.
