WAYSIDE, WV – Fred Samuel Huffman, age 58, went to be with his Lord, his parents, Melvin Carlos Huffman and Gethyl Sue Ferguson Huffman, and his brother, Melvin Lee Huffman on Friday, June 12, 2026.

Freddy was born April 11, 1968. He enjoyed watching westerns and funny movies on television. He also enjoyed going places with his dad, whether it was to church or a good auction sale.

Surviving Freddy is his sister, Trisha L. Huffman of Wayside, WV, who has been his caregiver for a long time.

Also surviving Freddy is his uncles and aunts, Danny and Lydia Huffman of Pickaway, WV, Charles and Etta Wilson of Pickaway, WV, Donna and Ed Midcap of Creamery, WV, and Judy Hopcraft of Hardy, WV; and several cousins.

There were two close people who Freddy enjoyed seeing, Mary Huffman of Creamery, WV, who always cut his hair and shaved him, and Melissa Garcia of Barger Springs, who he loved seeing.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00PM on Thursday, June 18, 2026, at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV, with Pastor Terry Utterback officiating. Burial will follow at Campground Cemetery in Creamery, WV. Visitation will be held from 12:00PM until time of services on Thursday at the funeral home.
