SINKS GROVE, WV --- Frances Lorena Hendricks, age 75, of Sinks Grove, WV passed away December 9, 2020 at Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea, WV following a courageous battle with Amyloidosis. Born December 31, 1944 in Silver Springs, MD, she was the daughter of the late Francis Robert and Mary Erksine Wiedecker. Frances loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren. She enjoyed being in the beautiful outdoors and playing and watching sports. She loved to bowl, and she even played in a softball league up until she was 72 years old. She was also an avid animal lover.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepdad, Charles Erskine; stepmom, Mae Wiedecker; and brother, Joseph Wiedecker. Survivors include her husband of 25 years, as of December 6, 2020, Melvin Hendricks of Sinks Grove, WV; one daughter, Melissa Lias and husband Chris of Greensburg, PA; one son, Bill Kowasic and wife Rachel of Valrico, FL; stepson, Melvin Hendricks, Jr.; stepdaughter, Crystal Krieger and husband Kyle; brother, Craig Wiedecker and wife Jackie; sisters, Kathi Wiedecker and Robin Kuczak and husband Rick; grandchildren, Brandon Hyson, James Kowasic, Benjamin Kowasic, Jesse Kowasic, and Hunter Lias; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Freddy Bostic officiating. Burial will follow in New Lebanon Cemetery at Pickaway, WV. The Family will receive friends from 2:00 p.m. until time of the service.
