UNION, WV --- Fern Elaine Dunbar Holland, age 86, of Union, WV passed away Thursday evening, December 12, 2019 at the Brier Nursing Home following a short illness. Mrs. Holland was born September 21, 1933, a daughter of the late Forest and Leona Caldwell Dunbar. She loved the outdoors and working in her flower gardens. She was a member of Mt. Prospect Baptist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Earnest Lee Holland, three brothers, James, Roger, and Lee Dunbar. Surviving is her sister, Virginia Morgan and her husband Julian of Ronceverte, WV; two daughters, Dreama Ward and husband Benny of Union, WV, and Karen Bailey of North Carolina; three granddaughters; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Sunday, December 15, 2019 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Steve Bostic officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery at Gates, WV. The family will receive friends Sunday, December 15, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until time of services.
