LOUISA, VA --- Evelyn Meadows Ferguson, age 91, of Louisa, VA since 2017, formerly of Pickaway, WV passed away after a short illness on January 29, 2019 at Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital in Charlottesville, VA. Born October 20, 1927 at Rock Camp, WV she was the daughter of the late Albert Howard and Nellie Mae Copeland Meadows. She was a former employee of the Celanese Fibers Corporation and a wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was a homemaker, gardener, and avid quilter and enjoyed bluegrass festivals and concerts.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Douglas Ferguson; her brother Carl Meadows; and two sisters, Wilma Loveless and Mary Jane Sanders.
Survivors include her three children, Buck Ferguson and wife Shelba of Fincastle, VA, Mary Ferguson and husband Jerry Seaton of Mineral, VA, and Jim Ferguson and wife Donna Vance of Union, WV; grandchildren, Aimee Dudley and husband Matthew, Don Crook and wife Michelle, Ashley Seaton and husband  Rodrigo Camargos, Jared Seaton and wife Lindsay Kusturiss, Nathan Vance and companion Melish Gilkeson, and Adam Vance; great-grandchildren, Austin and Sawyer Dudley, Serenity Shearer, Kailaini Gilkeson, and Kamdrix Gilkeson-Vance; sister Bonnie Shires and husband Burke of Falls Church, VA.
