UNION, WV --- Eunice Ellen Kessinger Martin, 93, of Union, WV, passed away Friday afternoon, October 30, 2020 at the home of a daughter surrounded by her family. She was born at Union, WV September 2, 1927 a daughter of the late Charles Morgan and Rella Francis Bostic Kessinger. Mrs. Martin was a lifelong homemaker who enjoyed family gatherings, vegetable gardening, quilting, her flowers, and the view from her front porch.  It was important to her that she was known to her family as Mommy, Mom-maw and Mee-maw. She was a member of the Union Memorial Baptist Church and the Women's Mission Society.

In addition to her parents, Mom-maw was preceded in death by her husband Walter Lawrence Martin on April 27, 2004; a brother, John Telford Kessinger and his wife, Loraine; a sister, Lena Marcella Kessinger; a nephew, Glen Richardson Kessinger and a daughter-in-law, Noreta Jane Martin.

Surviving is 1 son, Roger Gray Martin, Sr. and his companion, Melissa Araway of Union; 2 daughters, Shirley Mae Hancock and her husband, Charles, III "Sandy" of Pickaway, Carol Gay Groves and her husband, Bob of Hollywood; a granddaughter, Michelle Groves McFall and husband, Mike; 5 grandsons,  Roger Martin, Jr. and wife, Sarah; Charles Hancock, IV "Chuck" and wife, Mandi; Timothy Hancock and wife, Carrie; Eric Hancock and girlfriend, Stephanie Holley; Jason Martin and wife, Diane. 5 Great Grandchildren, Kristina Bostic and husband, John; Ashley Lucas and husband, Clay; Zack McFall and fiancé Morgan Glover; Casey Martin and boyfriend, Marshall Vanscoy; Eli Hancock. 5 Step Great Grandchildren Alex McFall, Lucas McFall, Nathan Seldomridge, Ashlee Seldomridge and Gian Maurillo.  2 Great Great Grandchildren Aiden Sapp and Colton Lucas; along with her special friends, Reddie Allen and Ruby O'Farrell.

Graveside Rites will be held 2 PM. Saturday, November 7, 2020 at the New Lebanon Cemetery at Pickaway with Rev. Mark Shafer assisted by Pastor Paul Broyles officiating. The family requests that Memorial Donations be made to the Union Memorial Baptist Church at P. O. Box 195 Union, WV 24983.
