RONCEVERTE, WV --- Emma Lee "Tinky" Smith, age 83, of Ronceverte, WV passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2015 at Carillion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, Roanoke, VA following a short illness. Born March 1, 1932 at Greenville, WV she was the daughter of the late Oather W. and Mary Sue Holland Ford. Mrs. Smith was a loving and caring homemaker.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Alford Montgomery Smith.
Survivors include, one brother, Lawrence Ford of Ballard, WV and Allie Marie Pitzer of Union, WV; special great-niece and great- nephew, LaDonna Adkins and Herman Pitzer; two special great-great- nieces, Emily Simmons and Sabrina Bryant; five special great-great-great- nieces and nephews, Carson Simmons, Kylie Rae, Addison, Jayden, and Ryker Bryant; and several other nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 28, 2015 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV. Private interment will be conducted at a later date at the New Zion Cemetery at Waiteville, WV. Friends may call Saturday, March 28, 2015 from 12:00 Noon until time of services at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
