UNION, WV --- Eloise Bostic, age 88, of Union, WV passed away Thursday, October 13, 2016 at White Sulphur Springs Nursing Home, White Sulphur Springs, WV. Born February 14, 1928 in Greenbrier County, WV she was the daughter of the late Harry Lee and Zettie Cox Bittinger. Mrs. Bostic was a private nurse and caregiver. She was a former owner and operator of Double J Restaurant in Union. She was also a member of the Hillsdale Holiness Church at Hillsdale.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence C. Bostic; six brothers and five sisters. Survivors include, one son, Rodger D. Bostic and wife Donna of Gap Mills, WV; three daughters, Linda B. Vaughan and husband Greg of Ronceverte, WV, Sharon K. Smith and husband Michael of Peterstown, WV, and Janet L. Throckmorton and companion Jay Gillespie of White Sulphur Springs, WV; one sister, Glenna June Mongole of White Sulphur Springs, WV; seven grandchildren, Bridgette V. King and husband Shawn, Carla S. Brown and husband Jody, John M. Bostic and wife Kristina, Misty D. Thompson and husband Brandon, Kristian D. Branco and husband Matt, Lorren M. Hill and husband Seth, and J. Ethan Throckmorton; six great grandchildren, Elijah, Isaiah, and Noah King, Jackson and Stephanie Brown, and Mathew Branco, Jr.; two step-grandchildren, Joshua Hayes and fiancé Mallorie Tucker and Cody Hayes and companion Laura Drass; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral services will be held 3:00 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2016 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Pastor Michael Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery at Keenan, WV. Friends may call Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 1:00 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Shane Clarkson, Josh Hayes, Danny Huffman, Heath Huffman, Gerry Wickline, Kevin Throckmorton, and Daniel Perry will serve as Pallbearers.
