UNION, WV ---Earl P. Wikle, 83 went home to be with the Lord on April 1, 2023. He was a member of Union United Methodist Church. He had worked with the WV DOT, School Bus Driver, self employed retired farmer.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Harvey and Fannie Wikle. Brothers McVey and Harry Wikle and sister Virginia Skidmore. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Shirley J. Wikle. Daughter Kathy (David) McClung, daughter Sherry Elmore and son Earl (Teresa) Wikle. Grandchildren Brock (Raelynn) McClung, Emily (Garth) Treadway, and Mattie Elmore. Step grandchildren Casara and Clayton Buckland. Great grandchildren Kyle and Cole Treadway. Silas McClung and sister Haisley to arrive in May. Rita Wikle sister in law, nieces, nephews, as well as many extended family and friends.

Earl was known as being a very kind and gentle man; always willing to help those in need. Young children would call him the dollar man. He loved to give children a dollar and see their faces light up.


Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, April 6, 2023 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Pastor Gene Fullen and Pastor Dallas Forren officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery, Union, WV. The family will receive friends Thursday, April 6, 2023 from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his memory to the United Methodist Church P. O. Box 153 Union, WV 24983. Pallbearers will be Roger Johnson, Mark Jones, Phillip Jones, Brock McClung, Clayton Buckland, Harry Lee Smith, Michael Taylor, Chuck Ratliff. Honorary Pallbearers will be Johnny Honaker and
