Dorothy Lynn "Wendy" McGuire, age 45 of Peterstown, WV passed away Monday, June 16, 2014 at Roanoke Memorial Hospital following injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
Born December 2, 1968 at Pearisburg, VA she was the daughter of Albert Glenwood McGuire Sr. of Peterstown, WV and Barbara Jean Perkins McGuire of Narrows, VA.
Wendy worked as a programmer for WNRV Radio in Narrows, VA and also for Rich Creek Carrier Services in Rich Creek, VA. She loved to fish and loved the outdoors. Wendy also enjoyed sports. She played in several community softball leagues and coached youth soccer. She also loved to care and assist for the elderly people in and around her community and she was always ready to help out.
She is preceded in death by a brother, Albert McGuire, Jr.; Maternal Grandparents, Wink and Dorothy Perkins; Paternal Grandparents, John and Rebecca "Becky" McGuire.
Survivors include her ex-husband, Michael Shultz of Lindside, WV; two sons, Michael Eugene "Mikey" Shultz of Lindside, WV and Christopher Lee "Chris" Shultz of Peterstown, WV; one sister, Diane Ellison and husband J. W. of Peterstown, WV; one brother, Billy Shrader and wife Stacey of Virginia Beach, VA; Four nieces and one nephew; and a very special friend, Larry Martin of Clendenin Road.
Memorial services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2014 at the Pine Grove Baptist Church at Pine Grove, WV with J.W. Ellison officiating. Friends may call at the church Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 12 noon until time of services at 1:00 p.m.
