UNION, WV --- Doris Jean Love, age 87, of Union, WV, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2019 at Greenbrier Valley Medical Center in Ronceverte, WV. Born June 16, 1932 at Union, WV, she was the daughter of the late Thomas B. and Nona Boyd Caperton. Doris was a homemaker and loved caring for her family. She was an avid reader and had a great love for dogs. She was very proud of her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by infant twins; a daughter, Darlene Bailey; a son, Glen Caperton; and one brother, Tommy Caperton. Survivors include, one son, Sam Caperton and wife Vickie of Union, WV; two granddaughters, Yvonne Martin and husband J.J. of Hollywood, WV, and Kayla Caperton of Union, WV; one grandson, Michael Caperton of Union, WV; two great-grandsons, Ethan and Thomas Martin of Hollywood, WV; and several cousins and many friends also survive.

In honoring Doris's wishes, she will be cremated. A memorial gathering for family and friends will be held Wednesday, December 4, 2019 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV.
