ALDERSON, WV --- Doris Emogean "Jean" Danley Huffman, age 89 of Alderson, WV passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 at the Springfield Center at Lindside, WV. Born February 13, 1929 at DeKabb, WV, she was the daughter of the late Ralph and Theresa Danley. Emogean was a house wife, grandmother, great-grandmother, and mom.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Gladys Danley and Beradene Wells; two brothers, Darris Danley and Hayward Danley. She is survived by her husband Clifford Ray Huffman of 67 years of Alderson, WV; two daughters, Ruth Gibson of Weston, WV and Neva McCoy of Delbarton, WV; two sons, Darris Huffman and wife Nuetulia of Creamery, WV, and Bryan Huffman and wife Mary of Creamery, WV; ten grandchildren, James McCoy, Sarah Lester, Jennifer Blevins, April Huffman, Jessica Gibson, Carrie Shirey, Matthew Huffman, Samantha Toler, Joseph McCoy, and Hannah Weikle; great-grandchildren, Madison McCoy, Ethan Nelson, Avery Spurlock, Brayden McCoy, Aubrey Shirey, Mason Toler, Brantley Lester, Wyatt Weikle, Parker Jarrell, Liam Toler, Konner Jarrell, Rayvn Lester, Jaxson Collins, and Autumn Weikle; one sister, Maxine Burkhammer of Troy, WV; nieces, Gatha Wilson and Judy Matthews and husband Rymer; very close friends, Rita Martin, Gladys McClung, Betty Akers, Angie Huffman, Norma Hinkle, Wanda Belcher, Jill Wade, Jean Williams, Susan Anderson, and Pam Godby.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 28, 2018 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Rev. Jim Anderson officiating. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery, at Creamery, WV. Jeff Huffman, Richie Weikle, Matthew Huffman, Shawn Jarrell, James McCoy, Joseph McCoy, Tyler Toler, and Mike Huffman will serve as Pallbearers. Mark Lester, Charles Wilson, Jim Belcher, Jerry Martin, John Collins, Matthew Case, Kevin Hoke, Carlos, Fred, and Melvin Huffman will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
