GAP MILLS, WV --- Donna Theresa Bostic, age 61, of Gap Mills, WV passed away Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Peyton Hospice House in Fairlea, WV. Born May 13, 1957 at Providence, Rhode Island, she was the daughter of Daphne Gibson of Oakland, MD and the late David Gibson. Donna earned her degree in education from West Virginia University. She went on to pursue her love for teaching for the next 30 plus years in Greenbrier County, WV. She loved each and everyone of her students and education family. Donna loved her community and its people. She served as treasurer of the Autumn Harvest Festival held each year at the West Virginia University Farm in Union. She was a member of the Crimson Springs Church at Zenith, WV. She was very active in the Anthony Correctional Center Gospel Ministry and the Trinity Camp Ground church camps that the church held as well. She loved her family dearly. She considered every child that she knew, hers, from her students at school, to her own personal kids and grandkids. She loved them all very much.
In addition to her Father, she was preceded in death by one brother, Wayne Gibson. In addition to her Mother, she is survived by her husband, Rodger Bostic of Gap Mills, WV; two sons, Josh Hayes and wife BreeAnn of White Sulphur Springs, WV and Cody Hayes and girlfriend, Laura Drass of Frankford, WV; one daughter, Misty Thompson and husband Brandon of Beckley, WV; one sister, Debby Ward of Oakland, MD; four grandchildren, Easton, Jaxon, Abagail, and Christopher; and one nephew, Matt Ward of Terra Alta, WV.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 10, 2018 at the Crimson Springs Church at Zenith, WV, with Pastor Jim Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery across from the church.
