Donna Sue Boggess, 65, of Alderson passed away Saturday evening, April 12, 2014 at her home following a short illness.

She was born at Wayside, WV, August 2, 1948 a daughter of the late Woodrow and Ida Louise Ford Wilson.

Mrs. Boggess was retired employee of the railroad having work as a secretary and a former employee of Engineering Testing 2000 at Lewisburg and she was a member of the River of Life Church of God at Alderson.

Surviving is her husband, Harold Boggess, Sr. of Alderson; 1son, Christopher J. Hansen of Woodbridge, Va.; a daughter, Teresa L. Burke and companion, Montre D. Bass, Sr. of Woodbridge, Va.; a step son, Roy Boggess, Jr. and wife, Shawna of Rupert; a step daughter, Fawnia Jackson and husband, Paul of Alderson; 10 grandchildren, Brittany J. Burke Tibbs and husband, Adrian, Jasmine C. Burke, Joseph C. Hansen, Monisa D. Bass, Montre D. Bass, Jr.,

Shane E. Boggess, Nicolas A. Boggess, Shayla Boggess, Kendra R. Burns and John A. Burns; 1 great grandson, Levi Amari Tibbs; 3 brothers, Willard Marshall Wilson of Springfield, Va., Melvin Lee Wilson and wife, Gayle, Richard Keith "Rick" Wilson and wife, Judy all of Mocksville, NC.; 2 sisters, Phyllis Ann Hanson of Lewisburg, Cathy Smith and her husband, Blaine of Wayside.

Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at the River of Life Church of God at Alderson with the Rev. Anthony Carter and Rev. Eddie Wills officiating.

Burial will follow in the Richardson Family Cemetery on Lorenza Ridge Road at Smoot.

Friends may call at the River of Life Church of God at Alderson from 6 – 8 pm. Tuesday.

Groves Funeral Home in Union is in charge of arrangements.
