ALDERSON, WV --- Donald Gray Weikle, age 84, of Alderson, WV, passed away on Tuesday, August 23, 2022 at his residence. Born November 7, 1937 at Sarton, WV, he was the son of the late John and Ethel Morgan Weikle. Donald had worked several years in the timber industry, and he also took great care of seeing to his family's needs in and around the house. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a great husband, dad, papa, and great-papa and will be missed dearly by each of them.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Minnie and a son Joseph; brothers, Paul Harmon, John Weikle, Jr., Ralph Weikle, and Basil Weikle; sisters, Susan Crawford, Nellie Kountz, Millicent Kountz, and Geraldine Pence. Survivors include, sons, Robert Terry (Brenda) of Alderson, Timmy Terry (Vickie) of Alderson, Donald Weikle, Jr. (Debbie) of Alderson, and Ben Weikle (Tina) of Meadow Bridge; daughters, Novelee Morgan of Lewisburg, Nutenna Weikle of Alderson, Janet Buckland of Alderson, and April Wolfe (Jack) of Maryland; siblings, Violet Allen of Union, Mary Ralston (Bob) of Ronceverte, and Diane Huggins of St. Albans; fifteen grandchildren, and thirteen great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV, with Pastor James Hylton officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. Vernon Methodist Church Cemetery at Ft. Springs, WV. The family will receive friends on Saturday, August 27, 2022 from 12:00 noonuntil the time of the service at the funeral home.
