SINKS GROVE, WV --- Donald "Donnie" Kester Elmore, age 77, of Sinks Grove, WV, passed away Monday, June 10, 2019 following a long illness. Born January 16, 1942 at Keenan, WV he was the son of the late T.R. and Pearl Wimmer Elmore. Donnie was a milk truck driver for Ripco and Valley Rich Dairy for over 30 years. He was an avid farmer for many years and enjoyed singing gospel music and attending church services anytime he could.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son and a daughter, Michael Scott "Micky" and Amy Darlene Elmore; two brothers, Henry and Larry Elmore; one sister, Helen Taylor. Survivors include one daughter, Amanda Carter and husband Jerry of Sinks Grove, WV; daughter-in-law, Sherry Elmore of Rocky Mount, VA; seven grandchildren, Emily Treadway and husband Garth, Mattie Elmore, Gracie and Jacob Carter, Adora, Bentley and Chevie Dowdy; one great-grandchild Kyle Treadway; two brothers, Benny Elmore and wife Shirley of Ronceverte, WV and Dale Elmore and wife Bonnie of Sinks Grove, WV; three sisters, Isabelle Cook of Richmond, VA, Naomi Painter of Richmond, VA, and Rachel Carter and husband Micky of Fort Springs, WV.

Funeral services will be held 12:30 p.m. Saturday, June 15, 2019 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with pastors Phillip Hunt and Don Trent officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Park Cemetery at Highland Park, WV. Friends may call Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.  Lawrence Taylor, Scotty Taylor, Joey Elmore, Bill Dempsey, Brad Jones, and Doug Elmore will serve as Pallbearers.
