GAP MILLS, WV --- Debra Dee Pitzer, age 64, of Gap Mills, WV, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at her residence following a hard fought illness. She was born September 1, 1957 at Waiteville, WV, and was the daughter of the late Sherman and Mabel Bowyer Tolley. Debra was a hard-working lady who loved being around people. She had worked at the sewing factory in New Castle, Rest Care in Lewisburg, Moncove Lake State Park in Gap Mills, and most recently Walmart in Lewisburg. She had also sat with and helped out many elderly folks in and around the area. She had a heart of gold, and she loved her family and friends dearly.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Chris Pitzer, and one grandson, Devin Pitzer. Survivors include her loving husband of 48 years, Robert Pitzer, Sr. of Gap Mills, WV; two sons, Bobby Pitzer of Gap Mills, WV, and Turkey Pitzer and wife Amy of Lindside, WV; two goddaughters, Stephanie Holliday of Lewisburg, WV, and Michelle Surgeon of White Sulphur Springs, WV; two brothers, Stanley Tolley and wife Pam of Lewisburg, WV, and Edward Tolley and wife Sandy of Lewisburg, WV; three sisters, Halena Authur and husband Conley of New Castle, VA, Martha Lucas and husband Curtis of Sweet Springs, WV, and Caroline Aurthur and husband Henry of Waiteville, WV; five grandchildren, Chloe Pitzer, Chris Pitzer, Conner Pitzer, Cassidy Pitzer, and Chelsea Bostic; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 18, 2021 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV, with Pastor Mike Smith officiating. Burial will follow in Carmel Cemetery at Gap Mills, WV. The family will receive friends Friday, December 17, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Family will serve as Pallbearers.
