UNION, WV --- Deborah Gayle Ward Dunbar, age 58, of Union, WV passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018 at her residence. Born May 6, 1959 at Union, WV she was the daughter of Richard and Patty Hoke Ward of Union, WV. Deborah retired from the Bank of Monroe in Union, WV with over 40 years of dedicated service. While at the bank, she was head book keeper. She enjoyed many things throughout her life including canning, jewelry making, and crocheting; but loving and caring for her family were always her most enjoyable activities. She loved to spend her days in the kitchen or garden singing hymns and gospel songs. Deborah loved the Lord and was of the Baptist Faith.
In addition to her parents she is survived by her loving husband of 31 ½ years, Danny Dunbar of Union, WV; two daughters, Nikki Weikle and husband Josh of Union, WV and Melodie Dunbar East of Princeton, WV; one son, Danny "DJ" Dunbar and wife Autumn of Peterstown, WV; one sister, Sandra Arthur of Union, WV; five grandchildren, Zachariah East, Danni Dunbar, Jaxson Weikle, Ireland Dunbar, and Kinley Weikle; and several in laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Groves Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Larry Dunbar officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery at Gates, WV. Friends may call Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers.
