CLEARWATER, FL – Dannie Lee Keeling, age 67 of Clearwater, FL passed away June 17, 2023 at Highlands Pines Nursing Home following a long illness. Born December 17, 1955 in Madison, WV, he was the son of the late Harold "Boots" Keeling and Ramona Sue Mansi.

Dannie was a skilled tradesman. He did chrome plating for a plumbing company. He did solder work and troubleshooting on damaged circuits as well as he did a lot of integration with resisters. He was also a caregiver of his family and his mother. Fishing was his passion. He was known as "Bass Fisherman Dan" to the fishing community. He enjoyed entering fishing tournaments and he loved to compete. He loved the Lord as well and was of the Baptist Faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Sara Burgess, and brother-in-law, Victor Burguess. Survivors include his step-mother, Rosa Lee Keeling of Sinks Grove, WV; three brothers, Larry, Roger, and Alan Keeling of Holiday, FL; two step-brothers, David Boyce of Lightfoot, VA and Christopher Boyce of Kirland, WA; one sister, Linda Keeling of Union, WV; two step-sisters, Kendra Meadows of Sinks Grove, WV and Renee Mengert of Tyee Island, GA; niece, Alicia Herselman of Conneautville, PA; nephew, Daniel Cox of Pickaway; and several great-nieces and great-nephews.

A memorial service will be held 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 18, 2023 at Rosewood Cemetery at Lewisburg, WV. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the Cemetery.
