UNION, WV --- Daniel "Butch" Morris Walker of Union, WV passed away peacefully on February, 3, 2022, in the Stonerise Nursing Home in Beckley, WV.  Butch was born on February 2, 1944 in Union, WV.

Butch is proceeded in death by his parents; Clarence and Clara Walker and his daughter, Mary Elizabeth Walker, and sister Peggy Walker Cromer.  He is survived by daughter Anne Walker of Boise, Idaho, granddaughter Montana Galvan of Portland, Maine, niece Vicki Cromer of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, nephew Robbie Cromer of Princeton, WV, and his longtime friend and companion Leta McCormick of Union, WV.

Butch was a proud veteran of the US Army, having served in Viet Nam.  He spent the rest of his life in his home of Monroe county and was a friend to many.  He operated his own logging business for most of his life and was widely known his work ethic, his humor, and his constant willingness to help out friends and neighbors.

A receiving of friends to celebrate Butch's life will be held on Wednesday, February 9th from 12:00-2:00pm at Groves-Mann Funeral Home in Union, WV.  Burial services and Military Graveside Rites at Greenhill Cemetery in Union, WV will immediately follow.
