ALDERSON, WV --- Clifford "Ray" Huffman, age 89, of Alderson, WV, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2019 at his residence. Born September 5, 1929 at Creamery, WV, he was the son of the late Alfred D. and Hester Bragg Huffman. "Ray", as most knew him, was a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a retired coal miner from the Lynn Land Coal Company in Gilbert, WV. Following retirement, Ray enjoyed farming and working on machinery. He loved his family, friends, and his Donkey Jasper. Ray was of the Christian Faith. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Doris E. "Jean" Danley Huffman; one brother, Kyle "Jack" Huffman; two sisters, Ida Ruth Huffman and Ethel Louise Carper. Survivors include, two daughters, Ruth Gibson of Weston, WV and Neva McCoy of Delbarton, WV; two sons, Darris Huffman and wife Nuetulia of Creamery, WV, and Bryan Huffman and wife Mary of Creamery, WV; ten grandchildren, James McCoy, Sarah Lester, Joseph McCoy, Jennifer Blevins, April Jarrell, Jessica Gibson, Carrie Shirey, Matthew Huffman, Samantha Toler, Joseph McCoy, and Hannah Weikle; great-grandchildren, Madison McCoy, Ethan Nelson, Avery Spurlock, Brayden McCoy, Aubrey Shirey, Mason Toler, Brantley Lester, Wyatt Weikle, Parker Jarrell, Liam Toler, Konner Jarrell, Rayvn Lester, Jaxson Collins, Autumn Weikle, and "one on the way", Emma-Jean Kaye Collins; one brother, Ralph Huffman and wife Betty of Creamery, WV several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends also survive. Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 19, 2019 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Pastor Jim Anderson and Pastor Anthony Carter officiating. Burial will follow in Campground Cemetery at Creamery, WV where the West Virginia Honor Guard will conduct Military Graveside Rites. Mike Huffman, Matthew Huffman, Richie Weikle, Mark Lester, Shawn Jarrell, Tyler Toler, James McCoy, and John Collins will serve as Pallbearers. Jeff Huffman, Carlos Huffman, Freddie Huffman, Melvin Huffman, and Charles Wilson will serve as Honorary Pallbearers.
