WAYSIDE, WV --- Cheryl Anne Ramsey Flanagan, 80, of Wayside, WV, went to be with the Lord on December 1 ^st , 2022. Cheryl was born in Rainelle, WV and was the daughter of Joseph P. Ramsey and Anne Warner. She was preceded in death by her two infant children, Mettie and Pamela Flanagan. She is survived by her husband and soulmate of 62 years, Robert "Bob" Flanagan, her two children, Karen Hedrick (Ken) and Doug Flanagan (Melissa), a brother, Joseph Ramsey (Betty), her 6 grandchildren, Kenneth Hedrick (Brittany), Kristin Slayton (Eddy), Krystal Collins (Zachary), Tyler Flanagan, Ryan Flanagan, and Paige Flanagan, and 7 great-grandchildren whom she loved very much. Cheryl also had many brothers and sisters in law, and many other close family and friends.

Following their marriage, Cheryl and Bob relocated from Beckley, WV to Washington D.C. area where she worked as a medical assistant in various capacities. They eventually settled in Wayside, WV where they built their forever home to enjoy their retirement. The couple enjoyed sitting on the front porch watching the wildlife with their special K-9 companion, Suzie.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at the Groves-Mann Funeral Home Chapel in Union, WV with Pastor Jerry Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Flanagan Cemetery on their family farm at Wayside. They family will receive friends on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
