ZENITH, WV --- On the 30 ^th day of September 2015 our precious Lord requested the presence of Carl Leslie Neel. Carl was ushered into heaven by angels, to be forever with our Lord.

He was born at Zenith, WV on April 6, 1941 the son of the late Cecil McKinley and Ella Crosier Neel.

Mr. Neel was a retired Celanese Corporation employee at Narrows, Virginia with 38 years service and he attended the Crimson Springs Church at Zenith.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Thelma Raines.

Survivors include his wife of 31 years, Sarah Stanley Neel of Zenith; a son, Randall Neel and wife, Donna of Peterstown; a daughter, Ella Mastalski and husband, Chris of Charlotte, NC; 2 step children, Teresa Lucas and husband, Dwight of Woodstock, Ga. and Arven Neely, Jr. and wife, Valerie of Zenith; 2 sisters, Marjorie Oliver of Zenith and Agnes Flack of Greenville; 4 grandchildren, Justin Fox, Haley Neel, Zachary and Jessica Dowdy; 6 step grandchildren, Christopher Lucas, Chrissy Wilburn, Derrick and Ryan St. Clair, Jessica and Chyanne Neely; 2 step great grandchildren, Dezeria Neely and Alexander Palmer. Carl was also a special uncle to several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 3, 2015 at the Crimson Springs Church at Zenith, with Rev. Jimmy Rogers officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery at Zenith. Friends may call Friday, October 2, 2015 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Groves Funeral Home in Union, WV, and one hour prior to the funeral services on Saturday at the Church.
